The Minnow Show!, Episode 2: Smokehouse Shorts in 16mm
Sunday, May 28th, 2017 at 11 A.M.

We'll watch a variety of short films - including stop action animation and whimsical dramas - from the archive of Smokehouse Films. These will be projected on actual 16mm film and will include an overview of projection methods.  Archivist & Filmmaker John Cannizzaro of Smokehouse Films will lead a workshop on animation that will involve painting/drawing directly on 16mm film. These creations will then be projected.

This production is made possible in part by a grant from the City of Los Angeles, Department of Cultural Affairs and by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
