Jordan Biren was a deeply treasured participant of activities and programs at the Velaslavasay Panorama - both as a dedicated attendee and an artistic collaborator. His presentations here included work with The Reader's Chorus and in collaboration with Ursula Brookbank for A Spirited Evening of Louise Glaum (in 2016 and 2017) and Filmic - an Evening of Live Cinema.  His film All that Passes Before You, Already in Ruin, inaugurally presented at the Velaslavasay Panorama in partnership with Automata in 2008, will be shown as part of the memorial program on Saturday, August 4th, 2018.  His presence and participation will be greatly missed, yet the spirit of what he has given will persist for us all.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Velaslavasay Panorama.

Audio Recording of "The Letter"

An epistolic reflexion
from the center of film
and
The harmonic images
of voice and viola
and
The resonance of a voice
with choric voices
and
Speaking to a letter received
that speaks to a voice ringing

Text by Jordan Biren
Score by Heather Lockie
