Les Sewing Sisters (Lun*na Menoh and Saori Mitome) use sewing machines as inspiration and instrumentation. This Record Read-lease Party will showcase spoken-word iterations of Les Sewing Sisters songs to highlight the sewing-filled lyrics.
Following the reading is a screening of the film Les Sewing Sisters Home Tour, directed by Jeff Mizushia. Made during the pandemic, Les Sewing Sisters traveled to many closets around Los Angeles to perform for and in front of people’s clothes.
