La ilusión viaja en tranvía (Illusion Travels by Streetcar) tells the story of two fellow transit workers who, heartbroken by the news that their beloved Streetcar 133 is being decommissioned, decide to “take ’er for one last spin” across the surreal landscape of Mexico City. The unscheduled, nocturnal adventure offers free fare to anyone who hops aboard the streetcar's last journey.

Co-presented with the Luis Buñuel Film Institute, this screening is part of the Velaslavasay Panorama’s Film-In-Residence: Mexico City; a three-part filmic exploration of Mexico City spanning 1954 to 1989.
