A sidewalk tribute to demolished buildings in Los Angeles and disappeared businesses, restaurants and places throughout the city.

As part of the 24th Street Theatre's Dia De Los Muertos Street Festival 2021, the Union Square Florist Shop re-materializes in the lobby of the Union Theatre and will be on-view throughout the festival 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm on the evening of Monday, November 1st, 2021.

The storefront tableaux invites visitors to observe (from the street only) the evening workings of a robust floral syndicate while listening to the sounds of K-FLOR locally on the AM radio.

This iteration of the Union Square Florist Shop will feature an Architectural Ofrenda - a sidewalk tribute to demolished buildings in Los Angeles and disappeared businesses, restaurants and places from days gone by.

Guests are invited to contribute to the Architectural Ofrenda and share their treasured memories of buildings, signage and places from Los Angeles' past with which they have a strong personal connection. Bring a photograph, object, note, sovenir, relic or other memento to represent the places you miss most in Los Angeles.

Visitors who cannot join in person are invited to contribute a distanced offering for consideration by submitting this form.
