The Velaslavasay Panorama will be open for viewers to explore the gardens, theatre space, the lobby exhibit Nancy Columbia & The Arctic Beyond, and the Nova Tuskhut in our ancillary gallery. The Panorama Viewing Hall will remain closed for renovation. Enjoy complimentary tea in our meditation grotto and plants for sale on the garden patio.

From now until the great unveiling of the new Shengjing Panorama the Velaslavasay will be open to visitors only once per month, by rare appointment, and for special events listed on our website. 

 

Due to the gracious giving of our friends, collaborators and devotees the Velaslavasay Panorama proceeds to the completion and full illumination of Shengjing Panorama, the latest creation in American panoramic production. Where once an Arctic scene did stand, now does an intimate, intricate and enormously studied painting of Shenyang, China in the early 20th Century (1910-1930). 
 

Much work remains, including the production of a sound and light cycle and an elaborate faux terrain.
As of today, we have reached 42% of our announced goal.
