Shengjing Panorama debuts on June 1st at 8:08 P.M. during our commemorative fundraising event, turning the gardens and grounds of the Velaslavasay Panorama into an elaborate 20th Century-style railway station with vendors, buskers, musicians, games and boarding calls. Meet the painters Li Wu, Yan Yang, Zhou Fuxian (on their maiden voyage to USA) and sound artist Moritz Fehr along with LA-based Velaslavasay Panorama artists, and celebrate!

Illustrated Lecture - Shengjing Panorama: A Sino-American Bridge Between Cities and Centuries

At NYU Shanghai

This Wednesday, VP Founder and Director Sara Velas will return to China and journey to NYU's Shanghai campus to deliver an illustrated lecture on a brief history of the panorama, the Velaslavasay Panorama, and the forthcoming Shengjing Panorama. An introduction will be provided by VP friend and collaborator Dr. Allison de Fren.
