For all persons wishing to make an informed opinion on the present state and whereabouts of the English Exploring Expedition to the Arctic Seas under the command of Sir John Franklin, lately a concern for all who wish for their success and safe return, the artist offers this deck of 56 playing cards in customary suits, which provide the most up-to-date expert speculations and conjectures as to the Expedition’s probable situation and options & etc. and suggestions for expeditions fitting out for their relief and rescue in the event that success is not forthcoming. Ladies and gentlemen shall find that games of skill or chance requiring playing cards are certain to be enlivened by the earnest discussion that the use of these cards will engender.
