Performers travel from all over the world to take part in this festival, and the Velaslavasay Panorama is a regular one-night host of the tradition. For more information about the festival, visit the LA Old Time Social website. The night includes activities with the Echo Park Film Center.

Friday night's lineup includes the following artists:

Dos Valley Trio
Harry and Cindy Liedstrand from the Diablo Valley of Northern California with Terry Barrett from the San Joaquin Valley of Central California make up the Dos Valley Trio. The heart of their current repertoire comes from their association with outstanding Central Valley musicians like Kenny Hall, Ron Hughey, Otis Pierce, and the Crockett family, showcasing rare fiddle tunes, songs learned in the Central Valley, and traditional old-time favorites.

Casy Meikle & Austin Derryberry

Before the two were well acquainted, they were regularly competing against one another in fiddle contests throughout the South. The two became close friends, frequently traveling together, and together began visiting instrument maker, Gene Horner, of Cumberland County, Tennessee, whotaught them both to build fiddles.

Have More Fun Stringband
With Ben Guzman on the fiddle, Dee Farnsworth on the mandolin, Laura Osborn on guitar, and Dave Baine on the bass, the Have More Fun Stringband plays hard driving dance tunes, crooked gems, and sings gospel and country songs with force.
